  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

We are working hard on The Beast improvements. In matter of fact in next couple of days we are lunching open beta for V3 firmware, which among other changes has significantly improved Autotune. If any of you guys are interested in participating in beta test feel free to contact us on support(at)acr-sys.com and send us following information:
- name
- The Beast serial number
- which operating system are you using
- what camera setup configuration you mostly use

And in case of any problems please contact support, it is there to help you guys.

How's thing with the Group Buy?
Can we quickly edit a list to check what's up then close this thread?
How many original orders on that Group Buy?
How many of us received it?
How many still waiting for their unit or a refund?

All units have been send to persons that were willing to receive them - so that part is closed already. There were 79 group buy participants and 9 requested a refund and this situation will be closed shortly.

There is a matter of lost unit - UPS fault - I'm handling it currently and I hope it will be corrected shortly.

I believe that opening new thread - one focused mainly on user experience exchange and support is great idea.

Ok Peter, thanks for the reply.

Si if I read well, 70 Redusers on 79 received their unit in good working condition. The 9 left didn't get it because they preferred a refund.

Correct?

Any chance you could post a document with each name of Redusers involved in the Group Buy and the delivery dates of their unit?

It will definitely help making sure no one is left on the bench.

For those still awaiting answers after all this time, I'm sure this accommodation is very much appreciated. On their behalf, thank you Gunleik!

Looking forward to a new thread - sooner rather than later. And, about that auto tune issue Ryan mentioned, +1 for every time I've used it.
 
Guys,

like I have informed new firmware is almost ready - it will have upgraded autotune function that will work much better for variety of camera and configurations.

With new software the quality of stabilization will be better. Around twice as good on tilt and roll and up to four times on pan axis. If you would like to test it - please participate in beta tests of that firmware.

If you have any problems or questions please contact support - it's there to help you.

As for putting our customers informations on the forum - I can't put those here, sorry.

Refund update:

Today, 3 years and 83 days after paying Besteady, I have finally received a full refund. Cash deposited into my bank account.

For me the saga is over. And so happy to forget the whole experience.

Good luck to everyone else still on the journey...
 
Yeah Greg, glad you were successful, I have a brand new one in the case that no one wants. Oh, well live and learn.

Yes, had to fill in two forms (bank account details, signature etc) that Peter emailed me.

Just keep emailing Peter. Expect a few weeks wait for an answer to each email (which seems standard with these guys).

Don't give up!
 
Congrats Greg. Hope to hear from Peter soon... Would be great to have this journey ended in 2016!
 
Beta is supposed to be open soon, as the mail said but no news yet.
Yeah, autotune is a joke, I found it the hard way the only time where I used it. Micro movements you can't see on a 5" screen, and can't feel in your arms & hands.
I'm not asking to be perfect even with an unbalanced rig, but at least stable would be nice.

You can download all necessary files from our website http://acr-sys.com/support/ - the EPIC V3 manual and ACR Update Manager (versions for Mac and Windows available). Please read the manual before updating your firmware.
