On another hand, do you have any idea when you will be able to send back the first unit to their owners but this time in perfect condition?
Hello,
You have asked for answers for that questions
Ad 1) Yes, we are committed to fulfil our promises and deliver fully working units with all promised accessories. We are doing all we can to deliver but please understand - we are in difficult financial situation and it is causing additional delays. Appearance of DJI Ronin and its price tag killed sales of most gimbals and caused some companies to disappear from market. Ronin isn't the best gimbal on the market - but it's extremely cheap and it makes it so popular.
Ad 2) The problem was caused by encoders, not by IC board. We had to add additional functions in code and modify the connectors and encoders housing to make the solution work without any additional difficulties and it caused some additional delay as we decided to test if the solution is fully functional and there will be no additional problems with it. We have send unit for extended testing performed by our friends from rental company on movie set - they were working in natural environment with FOUR unit trying to catch any problems that we could miss during laboratory tests performed in hands of our engineers and by our programmers. We have completed the trails and the solution proved to be working. We are implementing it in the FOUR design right now but it requires some minor changes in the way that encoders are mounted in engines. Those parts need to be reworked but it will solve the problem.
I will keep updating you on regular basis with new information I will be collecting for you from my collogues from engineering and IT.
Best
Peter
Yeah, I think they need these sales to help pay for our extras. I see this as a good things that models are going out, even if it's not to us.
At this stage, I'd like to have the gimbal and accessory/cable pack (basically, our RU/Group Buy deal) - and I was guessing that something like this would happen.
If they have to ship out units to dealers, so be it - it's a way to get funds in. It might mean a delay and it's not a wonderful solution - but it makes sense. I would, however, like to see something from BS regarding this - and maybe an acknowledgment that this is what they're doing... and how it affects our RU schedule.
In my case, I'd rather be later in the list anyway (17 currently, as my Epic is about to go on it's Dragon rebirth, so (at a guess 5/6 weeks to get back) means I'm without a camera anyway.
Edit: Just seen Carey's post and I agree... maybe BS should ask people to either hold back (as batches) or identify those who can wait. BTW Carey, still be interested to hear your thoughts on the unit![]()
You are not alone. I and at least one other person that I know of are in the same position.i was a group buy #3
shipped my unit back for update and it's been sitting with DHL for a month now in poland awaiting BeSteady payment for shipment to release the package.
Peter got back to me that payments come from london, but seriously 30 days and it's still at DHL?
