  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Carey,

Could you give us an update on your testing?

Did you try your idea of balancing with a wireless or Pro's suggestion of balancing without the cable attached?

Carey - I would recommend not balancing with the cable attached. I've had much better results balancing and then attaching a cable unless it's particularly heavy. Also make sure it's not going to create unwanted tension.

Jason can take a while to respond. This one isn't on BS4...

I know of a now current sponsor who tried reaching him for a couple weeks before finally getting in contact...

I understand your frustration - all are more than familiar with the issue.

However, as this is your first post, please understand that the REDUser site is not a manufacturers portal without them engaging in a sponsorship agreement with the owners of the site (Landmine Media).

To keep this portal open for the RED owners that went down this path, everyone needs to play by the rules and not add "noise" (as at least one moderator has pointed out).
I would respectfully request that you address your questions directly to BeSteady - via email, phone or any other option you may find.

I'm with you, checking this thread multiple times every day. ;)

But we should give the first owners time. It's better for all of us to not have some rushed footage here. And Carey needs to get up on his feet first. His direct comparison to the M15 will probably one of the most important posts.

Yes, I'm still very sick and in bed. Not much use right now. I will be at it again in the coming days and will report back asap.
 
How many working BS4s are in the wild? I guess until all the parts are delivered its hard to say. Itching to see these beasts in action.

Don't ask! I just got mine back from DHL tonight. They weren't happy with the return shipping paperwork that they themselves worked out with BS. It hasn't even left the US for repair yet! They sat on it for days before deciding to return it. From third in line, at this rate I'll be last to get a working BS4.
