  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

BeSteady FOUR Thread

Would it also be possible to change the DC in/out to Lemo connectors, like Michael asked ? I´d love to have lemo instead of the now installed connectors when my #20 ships. Manuel

Mine too!

Hi Pro,

thanks

Would this make the custom XL BeSteady batteries useless? Or would this still allow us to use them to power everything? We definitely need to be able to charge all batteries simultaneously each night.

Hey guys!

1. Great about the BS sponsorship. Hope we can meet here until all the GB gets "ALL" the gear we paid for. Working 100%.

2. As I understand we don't have many choices right now. Waiting and be optimistic. I know. I feel the same.

3. All the problems found on early units (bad cable gate, pan axis gate, etc) needs to be solved in Factory. Prior to any shipment.

4. If waiting a bit more will mean get functional (and durable) units, I can wait. I have no more choices. So tired to be upset. I personally solved my immediate needs buying other gimbal. I know, that solutions simple sucks. But we can't wait more.

5. I prefer to have Lemo connectors too. But we really need to think twice about demanding improvements that are out of schedule. I also want to receive the best unit (s, x5) possible. But perfect is the enemy of possible and done. Also that will need more $ spent by BS, and I assume they don't have it. I think we have to ask for what they promised. Lemo powering on the frame never was on the table (right?). They hardly will be able to do that.

6. More time can mean: getting the cable pack ready... having a Manager App, videos to know how to balance properly.... Etc. So, it will be really great if BS team can be honest and explain the timelines for us ? I think is time to really put all cards on the table.

7. I guess sometimes in life we are lucky, sometimes we aren't. Time will tell which one finally will be...

I feel the the most productive thing we can do right now is to act like a group. People can get much more if they stay calm and collaborate together.
I don´t have any more our unit here but if you have yours, please, share with us all the info you have. Maybe this is a puzzle, everyone have some pieces to place in it.

I feel is time for us all to help BS team in any way we can. I'm afraid if we don't help, this long and painful journey may finish very bad for everybody.

Of course I feel like everybody in this GB x 5. Lot of money, too much time... to much dissatisfaction. Returning units... Oh boy...
But when all is done...

We need to learn how to use it also. Solving problems, real life.

Maybe we can start in BS forum some BS4 GB dedicated sections: Battery / Power - Stand solutions - Camera configurations (lens, batts, accs) - Balancing - Operating / Modes / Presets - Wireless monitoring - Footage ... etc.

But let's be smart and positive. We have no more choices !
:-)

LOL... I'm in for both.

Where is the kickstarter/indiegogo for the documentary? :)

BTW, i'm a bit surprised about those problems with the first units. It took that long and now that? Don't want to be negative, i'm just "surprised".

P.S.: The whole documentary should be shot with cameras mounted on BS4s, of course! And for that it doesn't matter if the beast works or not. ;)

Damn, you guys are brutal ;)

Regarding swapping out the DC input for Lemo - Michael is providing his own connectors to try out. We've yet to see if this is possible. If it means modification to the rear arm and other accessories (which seems likely) it could prove too problematic to implement.

For the moment we have to be firm on this and say we won't be offering it as an upgrade option. Later down the line we could look into DC to Lemo adapters or a retrofitted upgrade but for now we should avoid anything that could result in even further delays to assembly.

Hope you all understand.

Thanks Pro for your feedback.
I must agree with you this time (even when that's mean not to implement an improvement)
I really feel we must receive what your company promised, no less, no more. Delays are killing us all.

1. Please: can u estimate when our first unit will be back to us ? (cable damage or loose, apparently)
2. Please: can u confirm the calendar for delivery is maintained and we will receive ours 2 + 2 remaining units according the expected dates?

Thanks a lot...
