  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

BeSteady FOUR Thread

Dario & Prokopi

It won't be deleted as long as things are kept constructive and polite.
We will probably shut it down in a week or so.

Sounds like a plan?

Gunleik

Can 'shut it down' mean locked rather than deleted?

The deletion of the other thread has caused quite a few problems, as it was the source of a lot of info... which has now been lost.

We've all put a fair bit of £/$ down on this, and the loss of the other thread was a bit of a curveball, as it was the source of all info exchanges.

I mean: It will only get closed and only when migrated/in a week (whatever comes 1st) as long as it is kept in a healthy and constructive spirit.

The only way to get it deleted is if the discussion deteriorates into unpolite and noisy gibberish.

Wish you all the best!

For me, sounds like a plan. But I can't do anything about creating a Special Section for us all meet there, not here.
Really hope Prokopi and BS team can open a BS4 sections ASAP, so we can move all the info in this thread.
I understand your point Gunleik and that make sense to move all this mess to other place, the origin of mess, web page.
I'm really sorry about all this situation (we all are I guess), also if we disturbed reduser's peace.
Please try to understand the hard times we are passing here.

If I can help in any way, please let me know.
All the best for all !

I just opened a thread at the BeSteady forum , including the warranty statement, and the content of the Reduser Groupbuy as well as a link to the google docs - delivery schedule
Hope this is a good starting point for further discussions, and i hope Peter, Maks and Pro join in there as well.

Thanks for that Manuel, it would be great if we could all move here and follow on this adventure.

I'm all for keeping this thread respectful, so I support that goal of mod involvement.

Moving the thread elsewhere I do not understand the need for. No offense intended, but can a mod explain in what way this thread violates policy? I have participated in many group buys on RedUser, and feel we should continue to keep this communication centralized here. Further, we should ENCOURAGE not discourage manufacturers participation in these threads. Am I to go to the Proline site, the Hexolux site, etc. once money has changed hands? That seems unnecessarily complicated. The moment this site fragments its community, it loses, IMO.

Thanks Gunleik ( and Jason)

I propose to continue in the BS4 web page dedicated forum. May we ask for BS4 special section in the forum in BS web?
I dont see a BS4 section and we really need to continue sharing info. We need to be able to use our gimbals asap.
I agree reduser seems not to be the place for all this mess. I hope we can migrate without problems, please reduser moderators, let us organize this and dont delete this thread...

Thanks !

Dario,
I disagree, I for one would rather have our interaction with Besteady here in the open. There is a lot of accountability when these discussions are in the open and not locked away on a forum where scrutinization from outside parties is limited.

I say say leave it here this is a Reduser Group Buy.

Thanks.

Excuse me Gunleik, but was it your decision to deleat the group buy thread?

I agree 100%!!!!

BeSteady is free to become a RU sponsor and have the information needed.

I have had the argument offlist that:
As there is allready an open discussion on this on the besteady forum, why is this thread still alive :)

It is an interesting argument.

Hey Guys,

Been watching this closely.

Reduser has a lot of respect for it's membership, (it's a member and idea's driven site) there is a ton of great discussion here.

Some discussions are unfair to the people who actually pay money and sponsor the site, in the spirit of being part of the community.

I feel for all you guys who put money in and participated in this group buy.

I understand how important for you all, but it has also generated some not so nice stuff between users.

Gunleik has already stated things quite clearly and very respectfully.
