Any tutorial DVD for the Epic? like the RED 101

apparently the fellow who produced the REDONE version DVD is releasing the Epic-updated version early next year. So he announced here a few weeks ago. I'd buy that in a heartbeat. Love this forum and have spent literally (collectively) DAYS reading everything I can on making this whole new (to me) RED thing work for me (as Scarlet owner-to-be). But to have a lot of it collected in one place would certainly help with the heavy lift of starting off in the World of Red!

Ok here's the deal guys: :drool:
Yes there is something coming.. And it's coming soon
NO it will not be a DVD.. It will be subscription based online. We will have three different courses:
RED101 will be updated to include eveything to date for the RED ONE
There will be RED102: EPIC & SCARLET
There will be a section on the AF-100

Also: We will be launching DIT101 later this year.. This will be a course which shows you how to work as a DIT on both small and larger prductions.

Videos will be simlar to those in the RED101 DVD. But more interactive, and we'll take requests from our members on what videos we will do down the road.

And of course we'll both highlite and TRAIN you on various accessories for the cameras. First up will be the Dana Dolly, and some super cool stuff from Wooden camera.

I was going to keep this quiet for another couple weeks, but I don't want you all to think I was not listening. I am.

A DVD will come along much later, but going online allows us to start now. And if EPIC or SCARLET changes (Which you know it will) we'll just go back and change the video in question.

This is a PITA for us in-the-stix operators with g-l-a-c-i-a-l internet.... hours-and-hours downloading gigs-and-gigs of video

Jay - not every one lives in LA or NYC with 21st century connections. Would by a DVD set in a heartbeat, follow up with on-line for newer updates...
But the whole thing off the 'net?
Not likely....

Sorry my friend, but it would be very irresponsible of me to make a DVD now when the camera is so very new, and stuff has not even been RELEASED yet! We did not do the RED101 DVD until about three years after the camera was released, don't want to wait that long.

But the good thing about us being small is that if you are a platnium member, and you're willing to pay the postage, I have no problem throwing the VIDEOS on a flash drive for you once a month...

There are no problems, only solutions!!!
