I know a lot of people will say spend more but i do have a limited budget unfortunately, I will be using a red raven / ronin / lenzhound setup and would like to know the best transmitter to use for the focus puller et £500 and below (around $660 after Brexit!)

cheers

Marc

Check out aputure's Aputure Array. It's about $600 and does the job. Only HDMI, but that's fine with the Raven if you have the HDMI output on the v-lock I/O expander for example.

It looks a little funny though

interesting, the idx transmitter look smaller and easier to fix - performance wise is the aputure array any better?

interesting have you tried this one? Any difference in latency between these? If its being used for pulling focus im guessing thats gonna be pretty important!

It seems to me a wireless video link would be a prime product area for Red get into.

The best consumer wireless transmission manufactures are located in China,
All 3 above wireless transmission products (IDXCW-1,Nyrius ARIES Pro, CMR Radian)are older models and may discontinued, they all manufactured by CVW China, just rebranded by different companies.
This new Cinqegears 700s wireless streaming transmission kit working ranger is 300-700 miter, is is also capable for under water wireless video transmission.

thought i would revive this thread - finally looking to buy and just wondering if any new products have come to the market similar to the Nyrius Aries pro, cheap and cheerful as this guy seems to be out of stock so i am presuming its old tech now and hoping something new and improved has replaced it! Any thoughts?

for the price the Nyrius Aries pro looks like a good short term solution for what I need. But the question i have is right now i'm using a smallhd monitor fed with a hdmi from the base expander - if i buy the Nyrius Aries pro I will need to split this hdmi to the aries and to the smallhd, I'n guessing the Nyrius is drawing power from the hdmi socket right? no other battery source? or does it need a usb cable also or something? if not will the hdmi port still power the Nyrius after a splitter? will i need a special splitter or something?

HDMI does not supply power. You can either power using small 5V batteries or use into the Dtap on a Vlock battery.

hmmm, trying to avoid carrying anymore batteries already have the redvoltxls and the canon batteries for the smallhd and the batteries for the ronin, any other way possible?

there is an option on the smallhd dp6 to toggle usb power on and off?

USB!Power Off,!5V
Toggles!power!to!the!
USB!port,!on!or!off.

still don't think it will work?
