Best stage for automotive shoot?

[Leo Ticheli]

I'm looking for the best stage in the US for automotive shooting.

I need three cyc walls and a really huge overhead.

All suggestions gratefully received.

Good shooting and best regards,

Leo

Raleigh Manhattan Beach has one such stage, or at least they did. It was used quite a bit for what you describe. As I recall, it was Stage 16 (we used it for some swing sets on Ally McBeal a few years ago). I believe they also have a cyc stage in Hollywood. There was also a three walled cyc on one of the stages at Ren Mar, you might want to check there as well.

Hey Leo,

I asked a friend of mine who does a lot of car work. He recommended the following location:

Take a look at photo 15 in particular.

I think there's some places with pre-rigged Fishers in Farmington Hills, Michigan as well.

I was shooting at Southbay 2 weeks ago, they're awesome. If it's a light enough day, they'll even detail your car for cheap while you work!

Hey Leo

Grace and Wild Studios in Farmington Michigan.

Great stage with a huge "fischer light" like soft box permanently hung on chain motors.

Also large white flats on the floor for additional reflective sources.

Stage 13 in Warren has got large indoor facilities as well.
