Alright kids
Tell us what your favorite Christmas present ever was?
From your childhood or more recently
And if you don't do Christmas
Just tell us what the best gift you ever got was..
Merry Christmas guys
Thanks for the useful info help and friendships ; )

My parents really came through when I was a kid and I got so many different Heman figures
God I still love the colored plastic and design of those characters

One of my favorites was probably the NES
Then Super Netendo
Then Nentendo 64
All hail Nintendo history lol
Don't really get the new stuff at all
Ps3 and Xbox is so so, and wii can be fun..

First gen Nintendo brings back a lot of joyous thoughts of Christmas. "Ice Cream and Dreams", a local arcade on Maui's north shore had closed and the Nintendo couldn't have come at a better time..

I know you can hear all the foley fx from "KungFu" right now!

If not, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JwsuD3RP1SU : )

Lol.. This is cool ! 
Kung Fu was the best Kalani!
Had you picked for a drummer boy Zak.. Lol
Nathan I'm guessing you grew up around snow ?
Were they 80s colored skis ? Lol
Keep it going guys, didn't want to interrupt..

Nikon F3. Technically a high school graduation present, so not a Christmas present... but it was pretty much the best 'material thing' present ever.

Stolen about... 93?... and probably went right back into circulation - if it wasn't for the demise of still film it would still be in service somewhere today!

Legos

Legos

by far...

down right....

best gift ever.

You can create the world.

I would build these ridiculous marble fall contraptions were you drop
the marble in the top of some tower type lego contraption and it would progress down to the bottom till it popped out. Each xmas it would get bigger and bigger as i got more and more legos.

Had a girlfriend who loved em and I got her a box for a birthday, she went nuts and we built things all night...

damn I should of married here; if wasn't for her craziness : - (

Still legos man!

Being one from a family of 7 kids, growing up I haven't ever gotten very expensive gifts.

However, this year, "Hanson" (the mmmbop boys) bought me an XBOX360 with Kinect. Needless to say, I've been having a lot of fun the past week... :001_smile:

I will always remember the year I was given independence... in the form of a Diamondback BMX bike. In 1985 the world got a lot bigger for me. Good times:)

Merry Christmas!

Lego Technics Helicopter. I learned volumes about how things work from building that thing. It had a working cyclic and collective rotor controller. It didn't fly-- but the principles were there. What an awesome and powerful learning instrument.

Best present ever? My tenth birthday and my two brothers took me outside our apartment. They'd built this frigging huge snow fort; I love playing in the snow, so how cool wasn't that as a present? It was awesome! We stayed in there for hours doing all kinds of stuff. Telling stories, playing around, building stuff, exploring the place. Man, those were the days!
Best. Birthday. Ever.

LEGOS LEGOS LEGOS

LEGOS LEGOS LEGOS

sorry to chime in again.

I remember when I was stationed in Schleswig Germany in the Army, me and a bunch of soldiers headed up to Denmark around xmas to Lego Land.

The place was off the hook. They of course had great lego sculptures etc., but we quickly tucked into a huge pile of legos.

There is a great picture of us, a bunch of 19-24 year old guys methodically building things... and a blur of kids running around us.

I gotta bet as gifts go there are a lot of guys and gals here at reduser that recieved them (legos) as gift as kids.

Michael... In the new year we should start a thread with pictures of lego contraptions we built as kids.

Oh, and we can throw in "Lincoln Logs" creations so the older guys like Gibby can take part.

I got a Super nintendo when I was a kid. I remember me and my two sisters were just going nuts when we tore open the wrapping paper.

Original Nintendo Entertainment System with Ninja Gaiden
1989 Upper Deck boxed set with the Ken Griffey Jr rookie card
