Looking for a new additional monitor (next to red lcd 4,7") that performs best in low light conditions.
I am shooting epic dragon (dsmc1) and am using an (old) small hd dp6 as additional focusing tool. Their focus assist is very good. But in low light conditions this monitor is really having a hard time. Maybe due to the fact that it is "old", maybe because it is not build for low light situation.

Can anyone advise me on this matter?

Extra info:
- I do a lot of Night shoots in IR (IR olpf color, IR lights). The "set" is always darkish (think: bat caves and nightly wild life). The monitor should perform well in these conditions.
-Looking for a monitor, not for an EVF, since I am wearing glasses. (Have tried evf, does not work for me.)
-i will be using the monitor as a focusing help!

A bit heavy, but mountable is the Ninja Flame that is much brighter than my 7" touch.

Thanks guys, I wonder if "brightness" will point me in the right direction. Do these monitors perform very well in the blacks?
When shooting bats the set is dark, even with additional light (it should look dark!) and my " talents" (bats) are brown/gray/black as well.

I use my Atomos Shogun for the same reason :)

lowlight and hi peak brightness monitor aren't close friends...

I think OLED is the only way to go for your needs so the Sony 740 (albeit old)
or a the Sony 17" if you are on sticks or if using remotely with an SDI transmitter,
blacks are black and NO milk to be seen, ha!

And also no backlight bleeding too.

My 2c
