Wondering if anyone has thoughts on best value/quality 4x5.6 ND or IRND filters to get? Im chasing a set for the Scarlet W and would love to hear what people are using and loving. Happy to put the money down for a good set. Also is it worth getting IRND?

Beyond that I'll let you choose your own adventure :)

I have a full set of Formatt-Hitech's

Their costumer service is spot on. You can message them on facebook and even in the weekends they respond. Delivery was fast and they are really nice.

Thanks guys appreciate the input. Great article Phil appreciate your work!

Tried quite a few. Depending on what time you are shooting and what you are doing. I do tons of outdoor, high elevation, snow sometimes, etc. I switched all filters to Breakthrough filters. They are screw on. I can't stand running and moving with a mattebox. I work with a kid who uses tiffens and a mattebox and it is so time consuming. He's lost that box so many times on small branches and what not. Plus Tiffens give a bit of a green tint to them. I typically use a 6-stop Breakthrough throughout the day and switch to a 3 stop towards the golden hour cause I like to blow out my aperture to get good bokeh. I only use a 10 stop when I am at the beach, or there is snow with sun. The breakthroughs are super thin, easy to pack, and only about 200 a pop. No, I don't work for Breakthrough. Haha.
