  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Bebob rouge hot swap battery mount

BeBob Rouge is a real RED1 "power" game changer.

Works perfect!!!

"The BeBob ML-120 is a Hot Swap Adapter for the Red One Camera allows a change of batteries without interruption of the power to the camera".

Now my RED1 can work non-stop 24 hours/7 days with just two RED POWER PACKs (2 chargers+4 batteries) or any other RED1 compatible batteries.

"When the battery runs empty, the ML-120 will take over the powering of
the camera for 2 Minutes, at the same time giving a simultaneous alarm.

During the first 90 seconds the ML-120 Alarm LED will flash RED,
for the next 30 seconds the LED will display as a continuous solid RED.

After 2 minuets (120 Seconds) the camera will switch off.
The ML-120 replaces the Standard V-mount on the RED Drive cradle, or
other 3rd party battery mounts. Additionally, it features a 12 V DC D-Tap
port, secured by a 5 A self-resetting fuse.

After use the ML-120 self-charges from the regular camera battery and
will be fully charged within 40 minuets, the capacity of the ML-120 allows
for 5 x 2 minuet run times, with its self-charging system the ML-120
requires no further operator maintenance or interaction

When used with Red compatible batteries (RED Block, bebob) the
ML-120 transfers battery-data to the screen of the camera to display
remaining battery capacity information.

Features:
- 2 Step Empty battery-alarm
- 20 Wh built-in Power-buffer
- Automatic switching by empty batteries to allow continuous powering of the camera
- 12 V D-Tap Port with self-resetting 5 A Fuse
- High-End V-Mount Plate to avoid possible poor contact between battery and camera
- Only 360 g"

Tony,

this "weird way of mounting stuff" makes a nice counter balance (diagonally) for the handheld rig.

As you can see from the pictures below that my R1 handheld rig stays in balance on the floor.

It is not front heavy (because I use lightweight still lenses) and on the back side is not too long

(because RED Drive, BeBob+battery are positioned on the right side diagonally to RED EVF).

Also can't make a problem to touch the EasyRig's support arm when you move camera to the left/right at your shoulder axis.

Hope this helps.
