Hi all,

I'm getting a battle tested EPIC M DRAGON, I just wanted to ask any of you who bought a battle tested camera from RED before and how your experience has been.

Anything to watch out for ? Did it cause you any more problems than a new RED ? How has the performance been so far ?

thank you in advance for all the help.

best,

best,

Bought a BT Red One with 850 hours of use in 2012... hasn't failed me once.

BT Red One. Had something like 300 hours on it. Not a scratch in sight. Has served me well thus far.

best,

Bought a BT Red One with 850 hours of operation back in 2012... didn't fail on me once.
It had a few blemishes, but that is to be expected with so many hours of use.
My BT Red One was even more reliable than my brand new Red Epic, which died within 2 weeks haha.

Like with most electronics: If it doesn't fail within the first few days or weeks, it's probably reliable for the next 5 years.

Also, all BT items get checked before being sold AFAIK.

All battle tested cameras have been fully tested by RED, any repairs to bring the camera back to factory specs are done and tested before being sold. Just like buying a new camera, but could have some cosmetic damage for normal use on the field and a few to a lot of hours on clock.

BT items are the best deal going. I always check there first because like Bob said, the items typically are indistinguishable from new.

I received one of this last batch of BT Dragon M's and looked absolutely pristine. That was a great deal. A second camera for me, to complement the Carbon Fiber.

Waiting on mine to arrive. Price was $10k off new epic dragon M.

I am now friends with Jarred on FB, can't afford to miss a deal like this again (also am keeping finance cash on side available from now on lol)

Has anyone got their BT Dragon? I've been waiting for mine for a week now...

How often does RED release BT cams? Once in a blue moon or randomly?

Scarlet or Epic M? I received my Epic M Dragon the week after the post. You are in Laos? That's probably why.
Epic M Dragon. My Red Squad told me they're still processing it but this has been a week after I paid. Shipping within US BTW. They're probably busy with testing maybe.
