  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Battery module: Protection of the pins

Another End cap manufacturer: http://www.cinema5d.com/news/?p=10506

Maybe if asked, they could make one?

This endcap is being made by RED, just hasn't hit the store yet. From the looks of the pictures, it snaps onto the Redmote triangle-connector thingy, which is also on the back of the battery module. So this looks like it'll be compatible with both the brains and the modules. (educated guess)

The battery module rear ist very different from the brein module.
A plastic cap would be fine, but I dont know if a simple snap on solution as the cinema 5d would be enough.
A serious hit is going to get it off the camera and could destroy the pins in one go.

But.... I may be wrong.

Justin,

Thanks for the shout out!

The Atomic13 plate does not attach to the back of the battery module. I tried it yesterday and the holes don't line up so you would have to drill new ones.

I'll see what I can figure out for this one. When we designed them there wasn't a module available to test on.
