  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Batteries

It depends on how many D-Tap or USB you need on the batteries, if you need a small or light battery or not :

I use IDX and Switt batteries :
- IDX Duo 95wh is a great battery : small, light, 2 D-TAP and 1 USB
- Switt 95wh Batterie is smaller but less lighter and have just 1 D-TAP.

I have also the S-8192S Switt battery, it's a great batterie because you can split it in two pieces to take a flight.

Anyone know of any inexpensive ~95wh Chinese "mini" batteries? Looking for something like those Blueshape Granite minis (which look to fit perfectly on the back of DSMC2) or SWX HyperCore Minis, but closer to ~$200 instead of ~$500?

Seems like an simple thing to do; instead of making v-mounts thin/tall, make em short/thick.

The Dynacore Mini's are great.

Since no one mentioned Blueshape I might as well mention that I fell in love with them a few years ago... although now I'm a reseller... so I guess I'm bias.

LOL!

Anyone tried the new Hawk-Woods Mini V-Lock?

I want the 100's for travel and my handheld work. They look good, but it's hard to justify me switching brands from my 10x red brick kit to another. But 4x of the hawk 100 looks like are the size of 2x red bricks.

I have two Andoer AD-95S. They are light and short and fits perfectly with the DSMC2 body. 95Wh for 84 €. Sadly I can't find them anymore online.

Same here. They are going to launch a new travel mini charger in the coming weeks as well.

These Hawk minis sure peaked some interest for my travel work. Someone should start a group buy, I think these will be very popular with redusers. One could never have enough batteries.

+1 for the group buy

Have any pics of them on your raven?

To be clear, I'm looking for an (inexpensive) v-mount that essentially sits flush with the top of the DSMC1/2 brain when in the RED Vmount adapters. The Blueshape Granite Minis (which are flush) are ~11cm tall, whereas the Andoers are ~14cm (though I'd opt for the Andoers over Blueshapes because of the price, I'm still holding out for cheap flushies.)

Possible candidates ( I performed a google image search using "mini v-mount battery"):

Great info!

The Lith looks like rebranded Dynacore mini's, they actually have the same model number as well..

The light Pro look very interesting with it's 15A output and USB port. Disappointing they are in Australia as it's extremely difficult to ship batteries nowadays...
