  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Base Production Pack Components

You're also missing a top mount, which is included in the basic package.

The diagram is a nice help for those who need a piece-by-piece breakdown, but I don't think this should be made sticky until the picture is fixed... there are still a couple of errors.

Hi digitalfx,

It is for showing the component that is included in the pack. It already comes. It is not necessary to buy again.

What exactly would I need to fit an O'Connor 2060HD head with a RedOne?

Should I get the O'Connor Large Euro Quick Release with 120mm camera mounting plate (2575-120)?

Hi Jack,

Your O'Connor quick release have a screw 3/8"...
You can mount here the cheese plate, or the shoulder dovetail (RED includes it in the basic production pack)...

...and enjoy!

The "Basic production pack" it includes:

A - RED bottom plate.
B - Top Handle (To use it, it is needed to buy more rods, and sides handles (K) $200 each).
C - Top mount.
D - 18" rods (2 units).
E - RED handle (1 unit). (One is sufficient... With your other free hand you can make focus).
F - Shoulder Dovetail.
G - Battery plate.
H - RED cradle (it includes the battery plate).
J - Universal mount. (Here the RED cradle is mounted).

With the Base Production Pack... you save $1,455! (1.055 Euro aprox)




For a more complete configuration, you can use:

B - Top handle
I - Top handle ext. ($175)
J - Universal mount ($100 each). Only you need purchase one, for use the Top Handle Ext (I). Other already brings the Basic Production Pack.
K - Side handle ($200 each)

The Universal mount (J) can be mounted underneath the RED cheese plate to use rods and to mount here the RED cradle, the RED handles... the follow focus systems and much more.

Note_1: You will need the bolt Set ($9)
Note_2: Also you will need another rods (between $20 and $55 additional)

Hi PixelTV,

Nice job, but I spot a few mistakes. I had a chance to closely examine the accessories at IBC, right after they published the accessories list.

First off, on your first diagram, as many have already pointed out, I think it's confusing, why is the BATTERY PLATE (G) represented since it is included with the RED CRADLE ?

More importantly, on your second diagram you are showing UNIVERSAL MOUNTS, supposedly attached to the top of the camera, that is not the case ! The TOP HANDLE and TOP HANDLE EXT. are mounted on two TOP MOUNTS, and the SIDE HANDLES attach directly to the rods and don't require UNIVERSAL MOUNTS. On that configuration there are no UNIVERSAL MOUNTS on the top of the camera !

That's it, the rest is great, good job.

To answer FIGHTORDIE, you need the TOP MOUNT to attach the TOP HANDLE (B), but that's all you need, no rods are required. To attach the TOP HANDLE EXT. (I) you need a second TOP MOUNT, but no upper rods required.

First figure:

You can read again the text: H - RED cradle (it includes the battery plate).
The battery plate (G) is in the first photo to show it better. With the base pack, only an unit it is delivery.

Second figure:

The side handles don't require universal mounts.

Please. Read the text again. It does not say that you need two units of universal mount for hold side handles:

J - Universal mount ($100 each). Only you need purchase one, for use the Top Handle Ext (I). Other already brings the Basic Production Pack.

Both universal mounts is for the top handles, and one already comes in the base production pack.

And three: YES you need the pair of top rods.

How you will mount the side handles...?

Yes, but that is a separate part...the part labeled "H" has the battery plate included. Its confusing the way you show it. I would suggest removing "G"
