Bad reactions to DSLR comments on Reduser

I don't think there's any reason to react poorly to Jim stating that he won't be telegraphing his plans. I thought he stopped months a few back. And yet, somehow, we all still get fascinating insight in to the tech, the successes, and even the setbacks of this cutting edge camera company.

That's my favorite draw to this website and to reading Jim's and Jarred's posts. I get to see the story of how these cinema-changing machines are made, with great honesty.

And of course I can't wait until that day of success comes and the cameras are a physical reality.

Hopefully that kind of communication will not cease, because it is the most intriguing part of RED.

You are welcome to tell me how they are "completely inoperable".

Dont be a woosy girl's blouse and close the thread, I would like a fair dinkum answer

I can't speak for Zakaree.

However, I can say that there are some major challenges to shooting motion pictures with V-DSLR's, particularly if hand held. Also, try to focus using the on board LCD and you might be frustrated.

There is plenty of info on the net about what is needed to make these camera somewhat functional in a practical sense. That's why so many third party companies sell products specifically for them.

It seems to me that without the add-ons bits, V-DSLR type cameras, from a practical standpoint are almost "inoperable".
