  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Bad anodizing job on some parts of RED hardware

The Sony F900 for about 70K is made of plastic. We are buying a 17K aluminum camera body and complaining because the parts aren't shiny enough...How strange is that...

Having my higher number is looking better n better thanks all for testing out all this before I place my order!!!

heheheheheeeeee

I always imagined Jim’s products like kind of military standard, rough and strong. I have this vision of people unpacking the truck and throwing RED cameras (with all handles on) on the ground in to dirt and dust.

Yeah, this thing's a tank, guys. I must admit, I'm the kinda guy who doesn't like scratches on my C-stands, let alone my camera--I'm a bit wary of the wear I'm already seeing on some of the parts, but you know, This thing is a TANK! It'll last forever, scratches and all.

Can't speak to the casting vs. machining issue, though.

(Funny TJ!)
