what needs to be observed is that in the history of marvel and comics in general is the one thing in common is War and political unrest. These movies provide
an escape while swimming along side of the subjects the pretend to take you away from. So perhaps for those that dont live anywhere near Hollywood may not
feel the intended purpose as much as those that do.

I was more confused by the story structure, etc.

Yeah, I find the superhero genre to be politically bizarre. I don't want to get myself in trouble, but I'd say it represents the worst of neoliberalism. But I didn't intend to get into politics so much as the aesthetics/form.

What's odd to me is that I don't perceive the Marvel or DC movies as movies... To me, they are real life comic book illustrations.

Are they great "films"?... I guess that's in the eye of the beholder... to me, they're not films at all.

Do they breathe life into characters from stories my father raised me on?.. Unquestionably.

Am I still mad Marvel made Banner a blithering idiot?... yes.

Will i watch Infinity Wars 2?.... definitely.
