  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Attitude adjustment...

It fits great into my plans, first buy the Scarlet (done), then build the kit around it (I'm on it), third -- swap the camera brain out and enjoy the Epic (perhaps earlier than scheduled ;o)

Thanks a lot. I look forward to next year. Congratulations, this was certainly a 5K earthquake in Hollywood ;o)

The year of the Dragon 龙 can start now. ;o)
 
wow this is some amazing pricing! at that price i think i will have to pick up a second red, i'm like addicted or something lol

Jon, are you treating it as money invested on the stock exchange, or business capital invested in a critical tool?

If the former, you're a fool.

If the latter, it still makes just as good images as it did this time yesterday.

If Red had announced a modest price increase in line with inflation, people would have grumbled. But they slash prices in line with their business model, and people get severely out of joint?!

Very happy about my BT Scarlet purchase! This year will be amazing. Then, upgrade to Dragon within the next year hopefully!
 
RED was allways distuptive.

1st when they inflated the 2nd hand value of the R1 for years to keep the value of their product up through the stages program.

I just purchased my second RED! This time a Red One MX BT :)

She is going to be a perfect compliment to Scarlet...may even steel some of my love hehe Cant wait to put both to work on a new reality show I'm going to be shooting in the next few months. RED is totally AMAZING!!!!
 
Jim, Wow! You are a leader of leaders.
I believe Red will work generously with recent Epic customers because everything else Red does has a high level of integrity...in a landscape of retail misery.
This announcement just accelerated the onslaught of 5K/4k content on this planet, and above, of course.
If anyone should be upset, it SHOULD be because 5K/4k cinematography is now about to leave the elite summit to become unimaginably common. And that's what makes us all better, creatively.

Just had a friend PM me wanting to know if I wish I'd waited until now to buy and Epic. Said "Nope, I more that made up the difference in the last 6 months and have steady repeat customers." Thinking of picking up a BT MX as a B cam.
