  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Thanks Vincent! but I just went to Vimeo then typed "Atlas Anamorphic" then chose "Relevant" and it just so happen the first video I chose was 2 years old, Ha Ha Ha Ha. But thanks for thinking I put in any hard work to find it.



Actually Vincent is about right. We had one of the first Atlas sets delivered which was first week in July 2018. Any images posted prior to that date would have been demo lenses prior to the production release.

Both you and Vincent are correct. Production Atlas Anamorphic Lenses weren't really in the hands of customers until about the time you mentioned. However, some of the earlier Atlas Anamorphic Lens video samples I've posted in this thread are from both the production period and prototype period. So I guess seeing them all intermingled together in this thread would give the impression of a lot of production companies using them in the last year.
 
We just passed the Anniversary of shipping our first production lenses to our first customers just a few weeks ago, coincides pretty similarly to when we first began officially shipping B Set lenses (32-50-80).

None of this is easy work to do, but it certainly is Enjoyable work to do.

We do it for Cinematography, we do it for Cinematographers, and we do it with Passion.

Just because we are shipping doesn’t mean we are caught up delivering the lenses many want. We are presently over 6 months backordered and we build and ship lenses every day. Lenses are assembled and quality controlled at our facility in Burbank, CA by a dedicated team, and we are constantly reviewing and improving our process of manufacturing, assembly and QC to make things not only better but faster as well.
