I have a shoot coming up and my boss just bought a T2 without really doing enough research and so now I'm trying to find out if its possible to use these in homes without a generator? Also, it didn't come with a plug on the end, what would be the best end to get for it? I see that most edison plugs are 15Amp max but I've come across some 20Amp ones as well. If I need to plug this into a washing machine port or an oven port? Thanks for your help.

When I bought one it didn't come with a plug, so I had one installed. It's a standard Edison plug and works fine in a Edison outlet. Used it last night actually-just make sure nothing else is on that circuit and your stingers are rated for 2k watts.

Did you use a dimmer with it?

Dryer and range receptacles are 240V so you will need to step down the power to 120V. There are 60A Transformer/Distros that will convert a 30A/240V dryer receptacle to a 60A/120V circuit that is capable of powering even a 5k tungsten or 4k HMI off the wall without a tie-in. They also come in very handy when powering 2k tungsten, 1.2kw HMI, and 1.8kw HMIs off of house power because most house circuits are only rated for 15A and anyone of these loads will trip them.
