15 1/2 stops. Wow
Just out of curiosity, what is the human eye rated at?

Not very much in a single scene, but we use a lot of clever dynamic contrast tricks to perceive more.

Is that posable with the same chip, similar firmware and and only a better processor?
I hope it is. I have had had mixed faith and doubts about Red's early claims (3yrs ago), and Red has ALWAYS hit the mark. Do it again Boyz!
Prost,
Rich
15.5? Yeah baby!!! YEAH!!! :sifone:
Jim, a few questions if you may. Does 13.5 come from a 2k down-conversion? Are you still pushing ahead on M-X? Think you can get an other hair out of it?

Monstro is a completely new chip and pixel design and the epic asic is already processing in 16bit to take advantage of Monstro's full latitude.
Well this sounds nice. But what does "a completely new pixel design" mean?
Processed at full resolution. In theory, downscaling should be able to eek out a bit more.
