ARRI ALEXA Mini LF Review

I thought so too. At first, I was just going to dismiss it as just another Alexa Mini LF review until I started reading it and knew that it wasn't.
 
I appreciated the focus on evaluating the camera for a single operator with no support team. Most reviews have a bias towards particular production conditions (size of team, budget, doc vs. narrative fiction, etc.), but few are so thoughtful about it. So much more useful in answering the question: "is this camera a fit for my task?".

Yeah, it was not another "in the lab" type of review and more of a "Joe shmoe" high-end cinema camera renter/owner user review.

Some low light footage captured around Tokyo Bay with the ARRI ALEXA Mini LF and Signature Primes.

The footage was captured in LF 4.5K 2.39:1 ProRes 4444XQ.

Test footage was taken with the ARRI ALEXA Mini LF in 4.5K 2.39:1 ProRes 4444XQ. Lenses used were the Signature Prime 21mm T1.8. 47mm T1.8, 150mm T1.8, and 280mm T2.8.

We tested this camera and the Arri LT for a job.
And picked the Arri LT for image quality and cost

"Super cool how much the kowas cover. Pretty much full frame. I added a 10% crop because the far edges are a bit too soft and not worth it. BUt the format is amazing, going to start using this a lot I think. Quick grade in davinci, working in 4K and exported in 4K"
