RED Problem Solver
No light meter I've ever bought has been accurate to my certified and calibrated lab tools that I rely on for precise camera calibration duties.

Personally, my solution is to put you on my Ignore list, which I've just done.
I'm not talking about the terms Mb/MB I was talking about your use of them. Data rates for codecs have been measured in Mb, RedCode was the first to use MB, it caused confusion.
Redfocus is being called a Backfocus calibration tool, it is a Flange Focal Distance calibration tool.
MiniBNC/XLR's do exist, which is what I said, but they are not Industry Standard on CAMERAS.
I know you're a smart guy, try re-reading what I said because you didn't understand what I was saying at all.
(snip) win over the most.
...People were mixing 4K cine formats with 4K sensor sizes and sensor MPs, vertical lines count from TV formats with horizontal pixel counts and pixel Bayer counts. What a mess I was thinking.
Day later Jim posted great explanation of resolution terms with graphic examples....
Anyone have a link to this explanation ?..thank you..

Recently, at the studio:
"Have you heard? RED RAY plays out 4K at 15 megabits per second?"
"15 megabyte per second? Neato."
"No, 15 megabits."
"Now there, if I had 1 € for every time I've explained the difference ..."
"Right, you'd be rich."
"Right. I should charge you, too."
"Don't bother, I know the difference."
"15 times 8 divided by 24 ... wow, 640 kilobytes per frame?"
"Actually, it's better than that."
"A megabyte is 1024 kilobytes, not 1000!"
"Yeah, you keep saying that."
"640 kilobytes per frame, not 624."
"It's, like, much better than that."
"What, their megabyte has even less kilobytes?"
There's an intermission which has the tech triumphantly rendering out SD timelines, just for the zing of it. Lunch break ...
"Just checked out the net. Hey, RED's got this megabit typo all over the place!"
"It's not a typo."
"I'll tell you what it is. A scam, that's what."
"It's confusing, I know."
"You should think, them building those gigapixel cameras and all, they'd get megabytes right."
"Disturbing, even."
"They're saying you can put a feature film on a memory stick. The nerve!"
"4K, yes. Outrageous."
"4K? I forgot. What a scam."
"Yes, everybody knows."
"Hey, can I have some of your fish?"
MB = MegaByte
Mb = MegaBit
(that's standard abbreviation)
REDFocus is product name not a term.
MiniBNC and MiniXLRs exist, we didn't make them up.
Gigapixels, again a commonly used term.
Reading your past posts, you're clearly a troll. What's your real name?
M. Most has a STRONG opinion, disagrees with people a LOT on here... yet always manages to be respectful, even when he is pissed off.
Pathetic you cant be a man and post your opinion without fear of making an ass of yourself like the rest of us do.
