Hey dudes and dudettes,

I'm an indie producer who just shot a Red project and am trying to find the best post house to work with on a Red-based post workflow in NYC.

I've heard great things about Off Hollywood, but I wouldn't be a responsible producer if I didn't talk to at least two more places before settling.

Lemme know what y'all think!

They have the resources, the knowledge, and the experience. I think they shot about 6 features on RED so far. They understand what independent filmmaking means. I budgeted in Prague and in Munich and in Paris for a project a couple of months ago. Mark has made me the best deal by far.

I will not be able to give you an alternative, but make a vote for Offhollywood. If you want the stuff get done right, if you want the highest quality in the post. They know how to help you and get it done. End to end.

Munchausen, I've only spoken to Mark a couple of times, but from what I've been able to learn about Offhollywood this far, I can venture to say with relative confidence that Mark and his crew will not let you down. They're experienced and super well-connected.

When it comes to all matters RED, Offhollywood is two steps ahead in every direction!

Not to sound like a broken record. But from seeing posts on here and paying attention to everything over the past two years. I would say that Offhollywood is certainly the post house of choice for anything RED Related on the East coast.

So Company 3, PWNY, Moving Images, and the likes will soon be RED capable plus they hire some of NYC's best colorists.

It's not for me to say how well we do it (because I work there), but PWNY is very much RED capable, supporting realtime RED workflows via Assimilate Scratch, and R3D-to-DPX workflows for other finishing strategies as well.

We are successfully doing Avid editorial on RED-originated shows, as well as FCP, which might be of interest.

While we are looking forward to direct support for RED/R3D from our other technology partners (DaVinci, Quantel, AutoDesk, Filmlight, etc,) we did not wait for them.

Also, Technicolor, NY has certainly done some first-class RED projects (like, um...Che?)
