  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Aronofsky's BLACK SWAN

I went to a sbeak premiere (in Denmark) two days ago and found the film really impressive. As for the scenes shot on 7D I knew what to look for, and when they came up I absolutely couldn't tell they were shot on a DSLR. What seperated them so drasticly from the 16mm film stock?

I really wanted to look, but when it got to the point in the subway I was so enthralled in the story I completely forgot to look.

Gonna have to watch it multiple times just to look at the cinematography. I know I'll watch it with the intention of looking, will again get pulled into the story. The DSLR shots must have worked because I didn't notice them. My radar would have sniffed something different at an instant if it was the case.

I HATE how it takes a thousand years for movies to reach us over here (Sweden). Another month or so (approximately) until the Black Swan premiers here :mad2:
What ever happened to coordinated international releases?

Your advantage is that you can simply walk down to the Ikonoskop factory...

Going back to the start of the thread...

"but you still loved Portman after Star Wars prequels?"

Natalie's banned Saturday Night Live rap

And lesbianism is "shocking" now? Women don't actually do that, do they? Egads.

Leon (The Professional) actually does not hold up very well. The direction and Gary Oldman's performance in particular are cringe worthy. Performances drift over to laughable when they ought not to.

My own review of Black Swan

Contains spoilers. Exectuive Summary: Masterpiece.

I've seen "Black Swan" yesterday evening (in France).
Wonderfull work in Super 16. In Scope or not ?
How they did the 35 mm print in 2:40 ?
Any idea ? Thanks.

Super16 cropped to 2.40.
Shot on Fujifilm Eterna Vivid 500 8647 and Vivid 160 8643, the camera was an Arri 416 with Arri Ultra Prime 16 3-lens set (12mm, 16mm and 25mm).

Just saw Black Swan a few hours ago, and I must say I was completely mesmerized by it. I was not expecting that. Wonderful!
