From what i understand,the iLogos 5"rebranded VL5 Ikan don't work with Scarlet...
Les Dittert.Paramon , I don't see that menu option.
I set hdmi resolution to 720 60 and 1080 60 , they both stop the 'unsupported resolution' message on the LCD, but only display black or blue and black alternating flash.
I do get a momentary glimpse of picture sometimes when I toggle the aspect ratio button on the LCD, then it gets distorted and goes black again.
I tried an HDMI active repeater to buffer the possibly weak signal, doesn't help.
This Ligos 5" LCD works fine on the computer output, as well as my Canon DSLR.
My 1280 resolution LCD works well, but is bigger and I'd like to use the Ligos one because it's almost the same form factor as the RED touchscreen.
I am wondering who is out of HDMI spec here ? Either RED is sending an off spec HDMI, or the LCD is off spec in what it can accept.
Red should be using an Agilent hdmi verification tester to double check the output, I would hope.
This is all tested with the 3.3.12 firmware on Scarlet.
I can confirm the issue with the Ikan. It does not work with the Scarlet, I bought it and hooked it up and the exact same things happened. I tried every setting in camera and on the monitor, as well as variations between them... nothing worked and it just flashed blue and black indicating it not being able to lock sync...
Wasted my time and money buying this, luckly I bought it from B&H so I'll be returning it right away at the store. The VL5 WILL NOT work with a RED scarlet. Works with computer, t2i, and everything else, except for the damn scarlet. Oh well.
Yes,please.I should have some more complete data by the end of the day if not the end of the week.
I would suggest you check a couple monitors from ikan such as the VL5. it is a 5 in. monitor w HDMI and it supports input from 480 to 1080p with a max resolution 800x480... however if you want a top notch consider the Ikan D series monitors with 1280x800 ips panel, the price is a bit more but its more of a solid pro panel and for a bit extra you can get waveform vectorscope RGB parade and peaking http://goo.gl/wRrHu Hope it helps.
