Anybody have any experience with the new F7 lights?

Seems like they could be handy for portability, sticking in random/small spaces (dashboards, etc.). I do a lot of documentary work so anytime something is portable, that is a plus.

I will be surprised if anyone has experience with this light. Aputure has become famous-at least to me, for showing lights at NAB that take forever to make it to market. B&H is just as bad with constant online ads that say "free express shipping" for this light, the Sony A7iii and the DJI S gimbal when they are not in stock. I have Aputure lights which I like and I would like to get at least one of these if and when they are released.

Rant over

I pretty much buy every Aputure light that is released when it's released in the US warehouses, but so far I haven't seen the F7 available -- and none of the local gaffers or directors I know have seen it either. Pretty excited about this one but really looking forward to RGBAW lights as they come out. Just got the Luxli Cello coming this week hopefully, and want to compare it with the Aputure in brightness and white color temps.

There's very few in the states at the moment, but there should be stock a bit after half way through the month.

Oh thanks for the hint guys. That actually looks very promissing. I have a cheap led light which is daylight aimed in my run&gun setup. That Aputure would solve the geling I do all the time.
Great for quick action and very versitile. I think i´ll get one to replace that cheap one.

Available right now on their site.

Update: I actually put in an order directly through aputures website last week since I couldn't find them anywhere online (although it looks like Ari has them from his post above, so maybe support a fellow reduser). I wasn't sure when they would actually ship out.....

Happy to say that I have actually received them this week (ordered 2). Very interesting little light. Seems like a great solution for something you can just stick anywhere and the housing seems decently tough. The output is pretty impressive for its size, and the ability to dial the color temp from 3200 to 9500 should provide some interesting opportunities for color contrast, etc. I will post more when I have gotten to shoot with them.

I ordered a couple of anker power packs to power them with the USB-C cables (included with the light), so I will post a photo of the current setup.

Aputure seems to ship to every "Internet Influencer" on the planet and they all have nice things to say about the lights. Imagine that. They're everywhere except in stock ;-)

I ordered the Hive 200-C products on Phil's advice. Delivery date TBD

Funny how that works. Marketing at it's finest. Somehow I was able to order these things off their website and they showed up pretty quickly. But the announced the 120dII like 5 months ago and it still isn't available.
