  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

April shipping update

Good to know Mark and Nate, I ordered my Raven from a dealer and they've estimated that it should arrive in early May. They say I don't need to order my 4.7" until my camera is allocated but now I think they might be full of it.

Once more packages start going out, I'm sure someone that wanted a 7" is going to flip their 4.7". You might wan't to keep your eyes on the marketplace to get it sooner and save some money.
 
Side note, I was surprised by how tiny the 4.7" screen was when I saw it in person! And I mean that in a good way. It was much slimmer in every dimension than I imagined, but it felt like a tank. Really a perfect size to have on the camera all the time.
 
I would love to hear today That Dec 11th Scarlet W orders are landing on our mailboxes... Anyway, just a little wish after all.... Happy Thursday to you all RED Family! :)

Hopefully, they're working through the December 10th order surge and will be getting to the 11th, 12th, and 13th soon... :)
 
Thursdays usually seem like a common day for allocations. One can only hope. Getting my bachelors next Saturday but still way more excited about my Scarlet-W. Priorities right?!

A bachelor's doesn't mean much compared to a camera. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Biophysics, and have been working in software development, now delving into cinematography as a biz in order to escape from software development. :)

Yeah, a pretty meaningless piece of paper for the most part. ;)

That's the purpose of upgrading from a Red... right now I'm shooting on an AJA Cion. I get great results with it, but that also means that 4+ additional stops of dynamic range is going to make thing very easy... when they finally get caught up to my pre-order.
 
When you know you cannot afford to RENT for your own project, all we have left is hope, and pray, and faith... LOL I have until May 15th to have my camera in my hands, or else, take a plunge cash wise renting.... It is not that I cannot, it is the fact that will come from my pocket and not a client...

You can do it RED!!!! :) :) Best gift ever to shoot my film in Italy with SCARLET W!!!

You and me both, going on a commercial shoot overseas May 14-15.... Were you allocated already? I was allocated 2 days ago, so I'm hopefully going to receive my package before then. Sent full payment right as I was allocated, weird feeling sending tens of thousands of dollars and still not even sure if payment was received successfully (no confirmation). The wait is actually more intense after you are allocated... checking my phone after every take during my shoots to see if my RED was shipped out. I think I have some serious anxiety issues that I didn't know I had lol
 
The RED community, company culture and brotherhood has me working out how to push my craft and business forward so that I can work toward Weapon 8K - Thanks RED Fam Bam! I am still waiting for my Scarlet-W and fly out to Japan on my next project on 8 May 16 but it makes my hunger that much more...

I feel you man. I am not allocated yet. That's the scary part. But I have faith RED will send me the surprise and I will receive it just before my trip... Hopefully!! Crossing fingers here... Anxiety up the roof... Next tuesday going to a RED Store workshop of WEAPON Scarlet W and Raven. Anxiety will hit its highest at the store... Adrenaline pumping.... Let the roller coaster ride!!!! LOL
 
The Red scarlet-w is my first Red camera! I'm so excited to receive my allocation email. Pretty much been checking my emails every couple of hours to see if there is an allocation :drool:. I am a scarlet w brain only deposit 11/12/15, so i should be notified very soon..

Can't wait for mine!!!! Rep says it's only a couple more weeks.
