  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

April shipping update

Just for the fun of seeing how freekin' far out we would be, (We are Scarlet-W on December 10 pkg) we decided to put in a Raven order YESTERDAY, pkg also. I like to think by the time that camera ships all the wrinkles (if there are any) will be plenty ironed out. :yesnod:
 
I am now visiting this thread everyday just to find out if Jordan has had his camera allocated or not. Poor guy, but this is all very dramatic!

haha! Yup poor me, and now I'm eating lunch in a production office on top of time cards, mad cause I'm trying to figure out flying to nab for like 6 hours and if it's worth it or not :(
 
got allocated yesterday, 10/27 time stamp, switch from raven to Scarlet-w.
there as a small issue when i got by passed in the que and saw people after me getting cameras, so i contacted my rep. Fixed it over night, got allocated within a day. He was on it pronto!
There is something very special about the way red does things, customer service at this level is something you don't see much any more.

Stuff like this kind of makes me torn... I've been avoiding reaching out to my rep because I don't want to bother them and they might not actually know much about the queue or the allocation process (other than when the moment comes that you're allocated). But how are people getting "passed by"? Shouldn't there just be a list of orders, sorted by time stamp? Makes me want to send an email to my rep just to see what the status is on their end...

Although, maybe the people switching from Raven left room for human error as the orders got pushed into a different queue. So it could be totally different for Raven switchers vs. standard Scarlet-W orders.
 
goona defend my rep here, my original rep left red right as i switched, i thought it was done before he left, it wasn't, my new rep got it sorted asap. that was awesome

Got mine today. I am absolutely in love. Thank you Red Team for making this possible, and thank you everyone from the Reduser community for being a crucial part of my education and motivation after film school. I can't wait to visit the Red booth at NAB to meet and thank everyone there too!



 
Congrats Stephen. Looking awesome. Is that the Shoot 35 follow focus and mattebox? I have the follow focus and love it. Wondering how the matte box is and if it gives any issues when shooting wide in 5k.

Yes, the process to move a timestamp from RAVEN to SCARLET-W is manual. Original SCARLET-W, no such issue.

Was this a package? How long from allocation to shipment? My Bomb Squad rep doesn't know when my package will ship. Trying to stay patient. lol

Hey Scott, I got allocated SW-Package Tuesday afternoon. I paid 5-10 mins after my notification with my rep and it was shipped Last night. Receiving it Monday. So about 2 days for me

Yes this is the Shoot 35 follow focus and I love it. It's really the best follow focus for the price in my opinion. As for the mattebox it's a classic OBox. No issue shooting wide in 5k for me.

Yup, this is the Package. I'd say each step from allocation, (depending on how quick you pay and process your order after), and shipping to receiving it are all within two day intervals. The wait is definitely worth it. You'll love it!
