  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Appreciation...

I love it when Jim gets sentimental, it means he has had a break through of some sort... Or he's seeing a shrink.

I love that we sit here a few years down the road and red is seriously threatening all the major camera manufactures. Jim and his company are (mostly) and open book, and yet they still can't compete. They just don't get it. I think that alone shows us that if were not for Jim and the team at red we'd be stuck in the stone age for a really long time!

Years from now, I'll enjoy looking at Arri, Panavision and Sony Cinema cameras in a museum, and I'll tell my kids that movies used to be made that way, long before your iphone and red cameras.

I'm very happy.

Red cameras made me fall in love with cinematography again.
I was border line going to retire early... This camera has revived me mentally because I can do everything and anything now were once I was paying hundreds of thousands of dollars a year in film and processing, out sourcing everything from gear to post to grading, now I feel like I can paint again at anytime of the day any where I please.

Jim, you are years ahead of the industry and behind your own schedules. Meaning your on time in my book.

Cheers mate.
Have a cigar on me.

Well said. Red has renewed my enthusiasm for making films, because the images are so striking, and because I can now afford the same equipment as James Cameron. (though he has cooler cranes) I am also inspired by the dialogue in this forum. Appreciation is mutual.

These have been the best couple of years of my life, largely due to this magnificent camera.

Been an exciting ride, wouldn't change a thing!

We appreciate your patience, your contribution (we actually listen), your passionate support.
Jim, the way I look at it, you're a guy who wants to help me realize my dream of moviemaking, by giving me "the World's Best Movie Camera", at a price I can afford. What's not to love?

It's O.K. to be late when you communicate, when you try to relate, when our fears you abate when you participate,'cause you don't procrastinate
When we know that you're trying, and you are never lyin', and the dream is not dyin', and new parts you are buyin'

Conventionally speaking... thanks for giving me the freedom to conduct business on my terms.

Jim ..

We believe in Red. Thats why we are here.. You offered us something that we only dreamt of as kids.. We like to dream and wake up knowing what we dreamt is actually very real..

And for the late... Your soon to be "old model" is still leaps ahaed of all the big guys we can never afford. not even in many years of savings.. Your cameras are only a few months away so its not such a big deal.

You are our Peter Pan :)

Safe to say we appreciate the leadership and vision of this company...and it will be even more so when Red Ray Pro is in the Red Store! (The revolution continues...)

It's a great privilege to have access to equipment of such quality. History thanks you.

Jim,

seriously. There will still be people in 2020 who don't get it. There are still pros shooting jpegs with their stills cameras. I can wait for my Scarlet or EPIC-S and I'll gladly put up with all the silliness from any expert. No worries.

Besides, it is 2011 and even though others are paying some attention, I haven't seen anyone do anything with a practical raw motion workflow which little guys like me can actually use. Also they are all severely lacking a CEO who actually loves this stuff and actually listens to and interacts with his customers.

No. I'd be happy to put up with a lot more.

Well. Maybe not the cigar smoke :coolgleamA:

June starts tommorow.......................................We are lucky and proud to be with RED...:thumbup1:

We really appreciate our customers (friends) support...

You put up with a lot.

We are usually late.

You have to defend your purchase with "those that don't get it".

Cigar smoke when you visit.

You have to live with our (my mostly) embarrassing posts.

Did I mention "late"?

Never finished program. The time to make upgrades would kill the faint of heart.

Endure trash talk from industry "experts".

We would not exist without you. We appreciate your patience, your contribution (we actually listen), your passionate support.

You are RED. Without you we don't mean dick. (Does this now qualify as an embarrassing post?) The Sony guys don't say this stuff...

Jim

It's mutual appreciation! Sniff - sorry bit of hayfever and some grit in my eye - not going misty eyed at all!
