  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Appreciation...

When I went to the first Red booth at NAB, there was only a non-functional mock-up of what a Red camera might someday look like and a brochure with target specifications. I was excited about it, but I wasn't going to drop a deposit on a brochure. The next year at NAB the look of Peter Jackson's short almost brought tears to my eyes. I picked my jaw up off the floor of the screening room, staggered out and said, "OK, now I understand; here's my money...where do I sign? It's been a great ride ever since. Thanks Jim and everyone at Red for that and everything to come!

We need more of this. There's too many filmmaking forums where people are terrified to speak up and be real. I say, fuck 'em and let your freak flag fly.

P

Almost cut my hair. You just gave away your age. A few ex-hippies lurking around here.

Red Rocks.

I am glad to be part of a company that gives me a new camera every redcine upgrade. Even those of us with red one's with just the M are enjoying the upgrades while we drool over the new cameras.

thanks man...
is all I have to say.

Documentary about RED?

Documentary about RED?

@RED Folks: Has anyone (quallified) ever considered a documentary on RED Digital Cinema: Your remarkable story; development; way of bringing your ideas into life; your transparent relationship with your customers etc.?

You should check out the doc "Press Pause Play". I found it a very enjoyable flick, all about the advance of artistry with the advances in technology and everything in between. There was a good little section of RED content in it. Not a whole documentary dedicated to RED, but if you want a little fix, I highly recommend it. Very high quality doc.
