  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Apple Event October 30th

It sure would be nice to celebrate the arrival of my m3max with an Apple Silicon native build of RedCine

M3 Ultra Mac Studio LEAKS - Release Date & Price!

We've received our two M3 Max laptops on Wednesday -- 16 core / 64GB / 2TB -- and they scream.

My M1 Max is still serving me fine, so I'll hold onto it for at least one more year. But if any of you guys are still driving a 2019 or earlier, this is a great time to step up. These replaced our last two i9 Intel MBP's. Apple put everything into these Max chips this time around. The base M3 is just an iterative upgrade, mostly offering GPU bump. The Pro is a reasonable upgrade for CPU/GPU, but comes across feeling nerfed in some ways. The Max is insane, it's keeping up with our M2 Ultra Studio on everything but a couple things that need all the cores in the Ultra.

What you've stated about the M3 Max is what I been hearing and seeing as well. Iwas maybe thinking of one of the lower end M3's but I think the M3 Max will be the way to go.

Perhaps with these Apple Silicon chips we're entering a post benchmark era where the spec scores matter little to even high end pros because the computing
got so damn fast and powerful.

I also have 2 M1 Max systems and they largely keep up with what I need them to do. I always welcome faster rendering and outputs but most of the slower performance I experience is likely from unoptimized software than hardware limits.
