  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Nice but wondering how much for the 12 core, that is the big question on everyone's mind (that is what I need)
 
That 2 liter pet bottle needs a screen or two....

Waiting to december to buy them was not what I hoped for.
 
How do the specs look? Any new surprises that were unexpected?

Good thing is we have a date now. Or a near date.
 
It's quite amazing to think of having a few pet bottles that only generate less than 1/3 of heat compared to the old suitecase sized mac pros.. our machine room will look a bit empty and the cooling system will be quite a bit oversized I think :)
 
Yep we have a few hanging under our desks.

Def shorts in the winter during edits ;)
 
Well it looks like its up to third party to produce a 4K display.

Unless they pull off...One more thing on us :)
 
I thought this was all covered in other posts that most apps are using both CUDA and OpenCL in the future.
 
Maybe timed with Apple 4K TV in near future.

The Mac Pro isnt available yet so no need for 4K.

But I hear yaa, Id like to know now too :)
 
My question is: will Red Rocket be necessary with these new Mac Pros?
And if so, are we going to be throttled by the Thunderbolt connection rather than plugging the card directly into a slot?
 
The new mac pro and the newly updated macbook pros are all hdmi 1.4, not 2.0.

An apple 4k TV is probably more like distant future, than near, unfortunately.
