Anything to worry about with MacDrive 10 pro and Windows 10 pro??

Like many people here, I made the jump to PC this year after a decade+ on the Mac. (Hightly Recommend Puget Systems echoed by other users on this site as well).

Most of my life digitally lives on 3 WD Thunderbolt Duo's that are OSX formatted (Journaled) that connect with no problem via MacDrive 10 pro to my PC running windows 10 pro.

My question is what have your experience's been with MacDrive? Is there anything I should be concerned about moving forward? Do's and Dont's?

I should also point out that they are plugged into a Pegasus 2 r6 thunderbolt raid that is PC formatted.

Most likely I'll take the time to reformat them so they are native in the future, but that might be a while.

I have had MacDrive corrupt entire drives but not sure why.

I would avoid using a Mac-formatted drive regularly on a Windows system and would instead move all that material over to a new NTFS-formatted drive instead. I think MacDrive is OK for occasional stuff, but I wouldn't want to rely on it for a day-in/day-out thing.

This. Just today I had an 8TB drive (full) get ruined by plugging it into my PC. 4th drive it's happened to. Generally I can repair them using disk warrior but I've lost a few files in the process. I recommend getting a new drive and formatting it NTSF or exFat, transfer off your data, reformat the drive for PC, and put the data back on.

Just came across this older thread. I built a Windows 10 tower a couple years ago but still use my MBP on location and traveling. I've also had a few mac-formatted drives get corrupted with MacDrive on my Windows system. Just had one corrupted today. So far, I've had two 6TB WD backup drives get corrupted, along with a 1TB LaCie rugged drive today. Curious thing, I've got a mac-formatted LaCie Rugged RAID 4TB that I go back and forth between my Windows tower and my MacBook Pro all the time without issue. I've also recently been cutting a project on a G Drive 6TB RAID that's mac-formatted and haven't had any problems with that either. So it seems the external RAID drives have been fine and it's only an occasional non-RAID drive that gets corrupted. Interesting... If anyone else has experienced this, I'd love to know. Outside of this very, very scary problem, my Windows system rocks. Really don't want to have to switch to an outrageously priced iMac Pro...

Here for the annual bump to this thread.

Just had some combination of MacDrive and Premiere/AE take down a couple of drives, one of them a rather large array. I've occasionally seems directory corruption during a crash and have been able to fix effectively with DW, but this time there were literally thousands of overlapping files (Adobe Cache files coincidentally) which completely trashed the directory. 3 weeks in on block level recovery to get back the small amount of stuff that hadn't made it to LTO yet. Seems like the better move for cross platform volumes is going to be NTFS format and Paragon NTFS on the mac side.
