  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Anyone notice?

Whoa whoa whoa!!!!! Absolutely gorgeous app. Very high-end design.... (and I'm still downloading the sample R3D so I haven't actually run any footage thru it...) Big things today - congrats RED!

I'm using Leopard unfortunately.. Anyone else out there using this op system?

I downloaded the zip file and when I got expand it, I get an error message saying it failed to expand.

i'm on leopard and redcine worked fine for me.

the thing that wouldn't work was the user guide, i cant open that pdf!

Gorgeous clip to play with as well. Thanks a lot Jim, Jarred, Red-team. It feels like I have a camera right now.

This is great news. The RED workflow is getting started.
Now this will save a lot of talking to producers. Yes, redcine is a free download. So everybody can train and get familiar with it.

Now Apple please bring out the new towers...

Cheers
Tim

Downloads of redcine and quicktime codec don't work for me. Halfway they stop downloading and then give an error expanding

Give it another try. That happened to me last night too (different download request, but same error)

I used supported resume download. I download everything in PC using Flashget and copy to Mac. I used Firefox previously, but keep getting error, halfway download.

REDCINE doesn't work on my windows laptop, since it doesn't have Nvidia chip. But work perfectly on my desktop.

Do I need leopard to run Redcine? When I try to launch it give me the message that it is not supported on this system.

Im running OSX 10.4.10

Quick question... intel mac or power pc? Intel mac is supported-power pc is not. Also it would be optimum if you were using NOT using leopard. Hope that helps.
