  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Anyone got skin tone samples shot with Dragon OLFP 2 and RedDragon color/gamma?

I am hoping to get some samples to my buddy ASAP and can try and roll some myself later today/ this week but figured I would double check if anyone has some handy and wouldn't mind sharing some r3d frame grabs with me? I would really appreciate it, thanks so much!

Oh if I had my Dragon already I would give you guys skintones ^^

Here was a test form the first day i got mine.

ISO 250
RG3 RC3
New OLPF Balanced off a white card. There was a big yellow brick building across the street. hence the yellow kick.
Helios 44-2 58mm F8

Thanks so much guys! The more r3d shots the better, he wants to be able to play with them in redcine, though I appreciate the links to completed works as well! Really appreciate the help!

I would love that Gunleik, thanks so much! Even just frame grabs works if you don't want to deal with motion shots! Again really appreciate the help on this!

Paul,

What lenses did you use? Looks like a macro or diopter work in there as well?

Skintones, yup. Shot with OLPF2, Dragoncolor, Redlogfilm graded in Resolve.

RG4 has made you give up RedLogFilm Gunleik?

Looked like some Super Speeds where used in the rehearsal space with the young woman and girl?

Dragoncolor and RG4 as basis

Not at all Will. But this is just playtime.
New toys. Let's check them out.
Resolve isn't useable on the MacBook Air and there ain't much point in religiously going RLF, if you only do a meta "grade".

These are run-and guns.
No superspeeds got harmed in the production of these... :)

Hi Will
Thanks for watching. The lenses were Contax Zeiss AEG 50mm f1.4, 85mm f1.4, 60mm Macro f2.8, along with a Canon L 180mm macro f3.5. I may have also used the Sigma 35mm f1.4 ART prime on a couple of shots. They all intercut pretty well.

Ah, thanks Paul.

Gunleik,

Nice shot.

Here is the same shot, WB taken, RG4, DragonColor, dropped down to 320ISO. I'm doing this more to show how a properly exposed neg can give you so many options, like if you wanted to not blow out the window.

The skin is just bang on.

of course, you were there. :)
