Anyone getting the Scarlet Base Production Pack?

I initially ordered this thinking it would give me a good hand held configuration, but now I am thinking it might be better to just spend the money towards a steadicam solution. Thoughts? Is the Outrigger really needed for a safe hand-held work, or is the DSMC Side Handle good enough?

It's not that it's needed for handheld work. A steadicam is a different investment entirely. The outrigger handle is really just to give a convenient place to grab the camera, and makes life easier once you have it. The Clutch would be a handheld alternative to steadicam (although they would achieve very different results).

I am getting the outrigger handle only for when and if I need to go quick hand held. I think the quick release plate is really amazing, but I think the money would be better well spent towards something else. for me atleast
