  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Just came across this bit of software while I was seeing if there was Pro Res solution for Windows around these days.

http://www.miraizon.com/products/codecsoverview.html

Has anyone used this bit of software with Premiere Pro CC or CC (2014)?

Does it actually work ? Have you noticed any quality issues with the 1080p and 4K codecs it puts out? and if it actually usable?

I would very much like to swap over to a Mac Pro at some point but feel I get more bang for my buck with my custom build PC, if people thing this is a usable Pro Res codec on PC then this will save me a lot of time and money!

I read a while ago as well, that some other Pro Res conversion tools where not accept by apple for iTunes or Netflix. Is this an issue with this bit of software just in general is there anything I should be watching out for really!

Thanks for any help!

Been transcoding Dragon footage on PC for an editor who works on a Mac with the Miraizon 422 HQ codec. Works fine with Redcine and CC. Footage looks good. Unless the editor hits a snag when I hand off the transcoded footage I think it works like a charm.
