Hi Guys,

I have some exciting news. Teradek is proud to announce the latest addition to our line of zero delay wireless video transmitters, the Bolt Pro 2000. Priced at $7990, BP 2000 offers up to 2000ft of range, 3G-SDI input + loop and outputs, and support for 1080p60.

Like our current line of Bolt transmitters, BP 2000 has less than 1ms of delay, performs best when line of sight, and has a number of mounting options suitable for just about any camera rig.

There will be limited quantity on hand when it begins shipping on December 16th. The preorder notification page can be found here: http://www.teradek.com/pages/bp2k-sign-up

Let me know if you have any questions.

It sounds expensive, but sometimes you just need the distance, like on an octocopter for example. We just shot a feature using my Teradek Bolt and I love the system, but there were times I wish the range was more than the 20-30 ft we were getting (with walls and obstacles in the way).

I don't personally have the cash for this new system, but I'm sure it would be indispensable on larger productions.

the I believe the Boxx Meridian Zero delay system was over $15,000. If Teradek Bolt Pro 2000 works as described, I don't think that is over priced.
Do I need a system to reach 2000ft, that is another question. For now, I am very happy with my Teradek Bolt Pro.

its 2000ft range seems pretty far but you need to be more specific about the Broadcast range (maybe 1/5 of video assist range) and the Video Assist range like Boxx.
However, I am really happy with the new product announcements like Teradek Bolt Pro 2000 and the Paralinx Tomahawk since I have more choices if I need.
I still remember the old days when the Modulus 3000 was the only video transmitter to buy.

Hopefully this does what we expected the Bolt to do as far as real-world range (I'd be happy with 200', where in my experience I see 50' or less with the Bolt).

David,

If youre only getting 50ft, something is wrong. Shoot me an email and we'll look into it. Mike @ Teradek . com

As for a demo, we'll try to set something up with one of the local rental houses shortly.

Mike,

I have several Teradek Bolts and 50' is the best I get too. We keep the recievers within 15 feet of the camera. Zero delay and better picture quality than Boxx, but range is very limited.

When we do tests we can get great range, but on set the range is limited.

Hey Dustin,

Shoot me an email with your serial numbers and the revision of your units. You might be on an older PCB design.

Disappointing it's only 2000ft. Is there no way to configure it with a directional system to get a couple of kilometers?

My Bolt is the same thing. Never over 50 ft. I assumed that was normal and just dealt with it. Mike, I'm also sending you an email now.

Yeah sad to say I haven't had the best experience with Teradek so waiting for RED to create their own wireless transmitters. For the hefty price-tag that comes with a Teradek unit - this is quite surprising to have had so many issues over the years.

I find that the bolt range rarely extends past 50 feet. Love the system when it's close to camera, but has been an issue with using the Movi where there are multiple operators needing to look at screens with a moving camera. And once the signal is lost it takes a while to kick back on.

Dave,

Shoot me an email. We're happy to take a look at your system to see what the problem is. 50' is well below what it should be attaining.

Just a quick update, here is a video showing off Bolt Pro 2000 performance around a bend and during a straight away. Its a rough cut - we'll have additional videos shortly.
