Will Scarlet W have the same 4.5K 4608 × 2160 option @ 120 fps like Raven? Or the standard 4.5K 4608x2432 at the same speed?

It seems you added 4.5kFF on the scarlet-W but there is nothing about the max framerates on the page.

(Scarlet Dragon owner) If I work with a BOMB squad rep, am I able to swap the included Canon mount for a Nikon one instead, for the $12,000 deal?
Sweet. Thanks Brent.
Does 4.5k 2:1 reach the 120fps?
If not, maybe you guys can try to squeeze the Raven setting in there, too, as is effectively quite a few more lines taller than the listed 2.4:1
My brain is fried, but, yes, at equal resolutions (same HxW), SCARLET-W would match what RAVEN does. Let me rephrase, RAVEN and SCARLET-W have the same MB/S speeds, so that is why they equal out apples to apples....
I wasn't really thinking, and that's fine. I can just "swap" my Lens mounts, and sell my 'Nikon' Scarlet Dragon as a Canon package! The bundle is the bundle, cannot swap in and out items.
thats how im understanding it too
raven will do 120fps in 4.5k which is 2:40, but should also do it at 2:1, because ravens 4.5k is essentially 4.5kWS
and the scarlet-w will do 100fps in 4.5kHD which is not WS, but probably if you choose 4.5kWS in a scarlet menu, then you should get to 120fps…
but we should get 150fps still in 4kHD on both cameras, sound right brent?
It seems, checking the recording time calculator, that the limit is always 130MB/s and not 140MB/s for the different resolution/compression on the spec page. Is it a safety 10MB/s area? Will it be unleashed in the future?
I might have missed this but how about Scarlet Dragon Brain owners to Scarlet Weapon brain discount?
Sam, remember, there is rounding involved, like you cannot select to shoot at 4.73K at 107FPS (example only). So, it would be setting of 4.5K and 100FPS (again, FPO numbers). So, yes, speeds are 140MB/S, but the rounding can give you a false MB/S speed number...
I was talking about this page http://www.red.com/tools/recording-time
Based on the Epic Dragon numbers.
4.5k FF 100fps 14:1 is 120MB/s, 13:1 is 130MB/s and 12:1 is 140MB/s. What I meant is that there is always a datarate number under 140MB/s but better than the one described as the best one on the specs page. So I guess there is something else than datarate involved between the epic dragon and the scarlet W.
Hey, Brent/Jarred. Out of curiosity, would you happen to know what's happening to all the leftover Scarlet/Epic MX bodies?![]()
Remember, the tech specs are telling you only two resolution/aspect ration settings. We show full sensor frame and 2.4:1 as samples of max FPS. But, RAVEN is an odd duck as same max height as 4K (4096), but wider to get to the 4.5K. So, "max sensor full frame" aspect ratio is different on RAVEN as it cannot go as high as SCARLET-W in height.
Now that is clear as mud, right? Safe to say if you can shoot it at a certain (HxW) on RAVEN at a certain FPS, SCARLET-W can match that.

There are no "leftover" new bodies. We sold them till we ran out. As for battle-tested...
We have a plan for them. But probably not what's you'd think. Still working out the details...
:thumbsup:Wait, we are talking EPIC DRAGON now? Sorry, man, you are lost me with: "What I meant is that there is always a datarate number under 140MB/s but better than the one described as the best one on the specs page."
Secondly, crap, we need to update that page to include all newer cameras!
