Announcing 1TB and 240GB RED Mini-Mags

In your dreams maybe? I dont recall anything related to media tradein

He specifically said no SSD trade in, as i recall. He did mention a 'credit' regarding side SSD module replacement on WEAPON upgrade. Thanks my understanding :)

How does that tune go about "...Your dreams come true..." Would that I could.

Thankyou very much

Ouch ouch, $1400 for 240 Gb, what happenen to Red? I was one day told I was gonnna get a complete functional 4K camera for $17'500, eventually i got a fully functional Red One and spent around $70'000 (yes with tripod, a few (cheap) lenses, mattebox, etc.) but nevertheless, it doesn't look like finding the economic solution is high on Red's priority list.

Another 2 cents,
Damien

EXCELLENT!!!

How many cards in a typical Red shooting kit?
Will number of cards remain same but increase in size?
Ie will 1TB encourage doc shooters to shoot more footage per day?

Whew! Really glad to be able to pick up that 240.

Brent,

1) Could you advise if the data rate on the 1TB is the same as 512GB (or faster?)

2) Can $1,450 of the part of $5k Weapon accessory upgrade $5k accessory upgrade be used to compliment the "1.8" REDMAG -> 512 GB Mini" ==> so that a 1TB mini can be bought instead?

Thanks.
AJ

1TB and 512GB ( minimags) are the same high speed.

1TB warmly welcomed :) media storage requirements these days are pretty scary... but on the prod workflow following the acquisition media, thank god storage has become so cheap!!!

EDIT: Just read back a few pages... Nevermind

Did anyone ever address the 1/8" --> Minimag upgrade program? Jarred alluded to it once before and I haven't heard anything about it since...
