  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

ANNIVERSARY

@Jon, I haven't been in the game for quite as long as you ;), but when I was first getting started, I found reduser/scarletuser back in '08 and read every single one of your posts. Like I told you at NAB, I admire you greatly and you have a way with words few others in the tech side of our business have, and they are honest and heartfelt. To me, more than anything, brought me into the RED world and I have never left. I've been waiting patiently for the Scarlet (your baby) to start shipping since it was announced and have been a long defendant of it because of the way you poetically always talked about it. It makes me a bit sad to see you go, but as always health is always more important. One day, when I do get my dream camera, I will send you a picture (if you could email me off list with your non-red email, I'd greatly appreciate it).
Honestly the fact that you let me hold the camera at NAB was so awesome, I was in love, and though I'm not sure if I can afford it, I think I'm gonna go for it anyways because of the impact RED seems to have on everyone.

Thanks for everything you've done Jon. I pray you stay healthy for a long time to come.

Lovely words Jon! I too will add my voice to the chorus of good wishes and congratulations to the company that has made my career as a filmmaker (and is still delivering!). I can say with hand on heart, were it not for Red and taking a chance on the visionary team back in 2006 with three Red One deposits, I would not be in the position I'm in here in the lion's den of Japan!
