Hi Eki what if i need to get the 24 fps film motion look there will be a problem on video screening ?

There's not much difference between the look of 24 and 25 fps. Shooting 24 in europe doesn't make much sense.

Most european films are shot directly at 25 fps for video compatibility. The 24 fps films are also displayed at 25 fps on TV, they're simply speeded up by 4%.

From the beginning Red ushered in a new world, with new expectations and new standards in quality and affordability. While others have promised much in the past, Red has consistently delivered. Bravo on hitting the targets for T1.8 lenses.

What a week it is, all this Red info. and U2 releases a new album on top of it.

Probably the closest thing to an answer to your questions was given by Jim Jannard this morning on the thread announcing the new primes. He was asked repeatedly if the new primes would cover FF35. On His Post #95, on Page 10 of the thread he responded: "no to FF35".

Indeedy, I saw that he'd said no to 8-perf coverage in his post. Seemed like a given considering the variables of the primes [size, speed, mount, length of development]. My main curiosity is what the coverage actually is. The 30mm x 15mm size is rather unusual and seems to have come along long after the prime development started... but I dunno.

I'm sure we'll find out in time.

A Question

A Question

I have the same question that Brook Willard had; Is the area covered by the New Lenses System, the 30mm x 15mm area of the expected Mysterium – X?

Very proud of you Red team. Keep up the good work.

30x15mm will make sense in due time...

Jim

I am happy :)

That is good. Hope there will be som mystical way for my 35mm cine-lenses to cover the hole sensor... We´ll just have to wait for due time :)
Thanx for all the great teasers! Keep ´em comming :D

In a mystical way, the sensor will cover the full image circle of your lens... :-)
