  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

ANAMORPHIC DRAGON PARTY - SOLD!!

Gorgeous images, and it's not even in Dragoncolor yet. Anamorphic look to me always felt cinematic as hell, long before I knew how it's called.
 
interesting how no one asked the more vital questions such as, now that its 6k how much more FOV did you gain from the ana mode? cuz shooting 5k ana would cut the left and right by some %. What was your finding, how many Ks do you end up having for image 4k? with ana mode.
 
Awesome work! Did you happen to notice a big difference in the 6K Ana FOV compared to 5K Ana? I would imagine this is coming into 4 perf territory which is insanely awesome if you shoot anamorphic!

Since we had the camera for such a short time we weren't able to truly dive into the custom resolutions options, we sort of picked a reasonable setting and starting cranking on shots. The FOV does feel bigger and the sensor does feel like 65mm in many ways.
 
The Subway shots were F2.5/2.8 ISO800 and the hallway in the hotel shots were F2.5/2.8 ISO1280, far below what you'd need to shoot at current MX levels for same noise floor.
