  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

An FCP XML to Redcine XML Script

Hmm.. Deleted the duplicate r3d file from my Media DIR.

loaded 3 clips into FCP.. which btw drops frames on 512x -p clips after QT update on macbookpro :(

Export XML

Worked before:-/

got almost the same now,....line129...line126..its not working...

I installed python before and that's why i was surprised to get the same issue again. The problem was, i had other non r3d files in my timeline as well that the script didn't like and after i removed them, the problem disappeared and it works correctly now.
Thanks for the effort!

Right now any item on your timeline that references a file, needs to be referencing some kind of Redcode Proxie with the same beggining as the camera generated R3D.

The new version allows you to specify an arbitrary substitution instead if you so choose.

Other types of items on your timeline, should work fine, text for example, should be ignored.

I'm trying to think of a way to ignore media that doesn't reference a Redcode file (ala proxies) unforunately this is difficult to do. In the newest version if the file is not a properly formatted Red file or it does not contain the custom substitution, it is ignored. I'll update it eventually so that if it can't find the Redcode, it keeps the other media.

Testing Redtrip Alpha today, almost working perfectly but, conforms aren't quite lining up, so I don't want to release it yet.
