  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

An Epic First Day :)

Cannot wait for the frame grabs to start rolling in as Epics start rolling out...

Thanks for sharing!

I am sure anyone capable of using this message board can figure what film we are doing.

we chose ultra primes for their lightweight and excellent optics. Epic 3lbs, ultraprime 2.4 lbs

You can start dropping hints in your posts for the weak minded..

"I was next to the epic taking pictures to put on the WEB, this camera is SUPER, and a HERO to this production. oh btw... I hate SPIDERS, yes I'm a MAN"

I think he meant 5lbs plus lens.

Either way still amazing. Nuclear reactor in a matchbox indeed. :D What's the total weight including 3D Rig?

Couple questions, maybe for Brook: What REDCode compression are you shooting at? What's your data workflow look like? Are you using the 256GB cards or smaller cards and offloading more often? Are you reusing the cards or holding them as negatives through production?

It's ALIVE! Er, I mean THEY'RE ALIVE!

Great news John. Congrats to you, your crew and all the magicians at Red.

Mike

Brook,

I assume you are shooting an HDRx stream?

If so, how many extra stops did you dial in?

Thanks! Can't wait for a set picture of the rig!

Thanks for sharing this historic news, this is really incredible...

Brook,

I assume you are shooting an HDRx™ stream?

If so, how many extra stops did you dial in?

With the new color science there are not a lot of circumstances that require HDRx. But Brook knows exactly what they were shooting...
