  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Amazing new whisky!

Add in a real sense of toffee too. Delicious.

From reading at the Aberlour website, a'bunadh is not given an age as it's a blend of different aged casks to achieve the desired abundance of flavour. As I mentioned above, I certainly can enjoy a good young whisky, so no complaints there.

Found interesting notes here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A'bunadh

I've got batch 18 on my shelf right now, it's my second bottle of the stuff. I love it! Another great cask-strength is the Glenlivet Nadurra.

Graeme,
totally agree about the young Ardbeg,it's quite superb,I was also recently given a bottle of Aberlour 12 years, cherry cask matured.I haven't tried it yet but tonight's the night.
I recently discovered that the Scottish Malt Whiskey Society have an American website
where you can also buy their single cask malts online.
I strongly urge you whisky lovers to check it out,it's a fantastic source of very special and unusual whisky's.
BTW I'm not connected with them other than being an ordinary member.
Tom.
