Hello REDUSER community!

I wanted to introduce our newest gimbal, the Allsteady-6Pro.

We took all of our hard lessons from our first gimbal - Allsteady 7 - and the success from our second gimbal - Allsteady 5 - and created the newest Allsteady-6Pro.

It's core user group is DSLR shooters, but I'm excited to announce that it does support the RED Scarlet / Epic / Dragon !!!

If you've flown a gimbal before, you know that you've to got keep it light! So just the stripped down RED with a prime lens is all!

I will keep you guys posted on which lenses we've tested in the comments below.

Looks great.

I have the allsteady 5 and use it solely with a Bmpcc. It has been the perfect tool for what I got it for. A lightweight, prerigged camera rig for movement. It gets me solid establishing shots and tracking shots with zero setup time. Excellent for doc and travel shoots. I don't bring my jib or slider on most shoots anymore as this has been a compromising replacement.

This new version should be a slick unit to have in your kit. Especially for the price bracket.

Hi Justin,

I am glad you are having success with our Allsteady 5. We wanted to clean up the look and super charge that gimbal, and here we are with the Allsteady 6.

hi Andy i just spoke to someone at turbo ace (who was very helpful;) and suggested you demonstrate the rig in full with battery and monitor etc, I'm really into this but would love to see it working with an epic or scarlet. they mentioned that you need a second battery solution to power the camera which i would like to see before i put down my cash

cheers

You will need a Leman cable and a couple of 5,000mAh 4S Lipo batteries. Ask for the Red package on sale. It will not only make the Red lighter with longer run time but also it will lighten up the entire AllSteady 6 system. The Ronin and AllSteady 7 owners will tell you that it is well worth it to go lighter.
The Red is pretty heavy and now you are adding on the weight of the gimbal. That is a total of about 19 pounds if you buy a AllSteady 7 or Ronin. Red 5 lb, lens 2 pounds, Ronin 10 pounds , monitor 1 lb and other accessory like follow focus 1 lb. Try lifting that for 5 minutes with your arms out at about 18 inches from your body. Next remove 4 pounds and lift it 15 inches instead of 18 inches away from your body due to its smaller configuration. You will feel the AllSteady 6 is less than half the weight due to the lower leverage and lighter weight.

Above is the RED Epic on the Allsteady 6.

For this gimbal you'll need to run light. We've got the camera body and the lens. You can choose to run the RED touch screen monitor up top. For power, we recommend using the LEMA cable to a 4S pack mounted up on the top bar or on your belt.

Look forward to a RED power solution from Turbo Ace for this gimbal!

Ok, but how would you even balance that thing? As the camera is not possible to adjust along the roll axis. A bit like using a 30 dollar tripod and say, look works perfect with the epic, the camera does not fall over or anything, no?

Put a small 50mm EF lens on there and the rig is back heavy / does not work.

hey bjorn do you think its not going to work well then?
i asked for a live demo video of a working set up, hope they do it. i'm a little concerned about the second battery they mentioned because of weight and well just having yet another battery.

i really want a gimbal to work with my eos and fd glass in a light weight config, I tried the ronin and felt it was too heavy ,not so bad with my atlas support

think i'm going to wait until nab and see if my predictions about the gimbal V2 happen:

Lighter and more ergonomic, i think the the helix looks really close but never had ago myself and a little out of my personal price range at the moment.

Hi Bjorn,

We have the roll axis balancing along the roll motor. There is a very big range that the roll axis can be moved so this balancing axis is not the problem.
As for the 50mm EF lens idea, I can have our tech give it a try. Again, there is a lot of room for play with this gimbal.

Hi Suresh,

I'm going to see if we can get that video for you before the end of this week!

Thanks ANDY, Ed from your Kickstarter page mentioned the belt clip method of powering the camera which i'm most interested in for single operator mode. Could you try and show that as well please

cheers

Sorry we haven't been able to get that video out to you yet. Our techs are out for President's day. We are having him build up the RED rig for the video tomorrow. I should have something up for you by Wednesday or Thursday!

The Allsteady 6Pro delivers incredibly smooth video to drastically improve your production value.

Dubbed the little giant of 3-axis gimbals, the Allsteady-6Pro gives you the freedom of choice, an extraordinary means to exercise and expand your creative expression using a huge range of cameras and lenses. This versatility also opens the door to a whole range of attachments and upgrades to dramatically increase your production value. For example, you can start with the agile GH4 for stunning outdoor action videos but quickly switch to the iconic 5D with a larger sensor for indoor shoots. And, with a deeper stronger frame, you are also free to use telephoto lenses even with the Red Epic. Looking for other creative tools? The AllSteady-6Pro offers convenient options including wireless joystick for a second operator, wireless follow focus ready for Red-Rock Micro or Lens Hound and continuous 360 panning for multirotors

The compact design allows you to bring the gimbal anywhere, and capture footage that was once never thought possible.

There are a total of 5 pre-programmed operating modes including lock, aerial and ultra smooth full follow at different speeds. Upon power up, the default mode is a slow full follow mode, sometimes referred to as the majestic mode. With 1-5 clicks of a mode button on the joystick, the cameraman can easily switch between the desired operating modes. The stick itself can be used to align the camera’s direction or to facilitate motorized panning or tilting, a great way to create smooth and consistent camera movement from a stationary or moving vantage point.

With a powerful processor and motors, the Allsteady 6Pro is quick and precise.
Pu2syiu.gif

Driven by an exclusive Turbo Ace gimbal controller, the AllSteady-6Pro features cutting edge 32-bit processor with ultra fast pan, roll and tilt auto-compensation. Dual Sensor enables the controller to monitor and maintain proper gimbal orientation at all times. To power larger motors at cooler operating temperatures, we have upgraded the controller to 30A so you don’t need to worry about overheating on longer shoots or under the sun.

It’s compact yet versatile design allows for a huge selection or compatible cameras.

Our customers spoke, and we listened. The Allsteady 6Pro handlebar is easily removable with the thumbscrew. It's attached via a Manfrotto 577 style mount, so anything that you can put a Manfrotto 577 on, the Allsteady 6Pro will go with it.

Shoot in inverted mode to get up high, and briefcase mode to shoot down low.

When you need to get up high or shoot down low, the Allsteady 6Pro has you covered. We've programmed the gimbal to allow you to quickly go from the Underslung Mode to the Inverted Mode and then into Briefcase Mode.
